Ray McGuire, a seasoned logistics and supply chain executive with experience in Asia, Europe, and the United States, provides advice, direction, and project management to high fashion, high-tech, and other importers, customs brokers, and international forwarders, successfully implementing international logistics, US Customs, trade compliance, social and vendor compliance, C-TPAT, Importer Security Filing - ISF or 10 + 2, and other supply chain security programs, as well as cross-dock, pick & pack fulfillment, and other distribution solutions.
In addition to his consultancy career, Ray’s full-time corporate positions have included executive and management positions with Celanese International Corporation, Kellwood Company, Saks Fifth Avenue and Saks Incorporated, The Sharper Image, and Jefferson Smurfit Group, now Smurfit-Stone Corp.
In these roles, Ray’s responsibilities included identifying, developing and successfully executing the international and domestic logistics, regulatory and trade compliance (BIS, Customs, C-TPAT, DEA, DOT, FCC, FDA, FTC, F&W, etc., as well as their counterparts in major non-US countries), vendor product, safety and social compliance, maintaining buying agent relationships, inventory positioning and management, and other success criteria for import and export supply chains.
With an additional 15 years of logistics experience in Europe, Ray co-founded and was the managing director of a successful international express transportation, customs-bonded warehousing, and forwarding company. He also held various positions at other international forwarding companies.
